Criteria

Student will be selected based on the following: Expectation that student will graduate this academic year. Student must be registered in a minimum of 60% of a full course load. Student must have achieved a minimum GPA of 3.3 in the fall semester prior to Convocation. To be considered for this award, Student Services must have an Application for Parchment on file. In addition, students will be shortlisted based on their display of leadership qualities, their contribution to the Institution and finally, judged on the outline of the valedictory speech.

Available to a first year student enrolled in MU1250 majoring in voice, piano, winds, brass, percussion, or guitar with a minimum GPA of 2.7. Faculty will nominate a student who demonstrates outstanding achievement, dedication and work ethic in their applied studies and/or has made the greatest significant growth in their musicianship skills in the first year of study. Recipient must be continuing full-time in the Bachelor of Music or Music program at NWP in the following year.
